We have chosen to stay at Summer Bay Resort and enjoyed our 3 days 2 nights stay there having booked their package which provided two way transfer via boat, pool access quad sharing deluxe room, 4 meals and 1 snorkeling trip a day.
I fell in love with this place, a well maintained and organized resort. As for the buffet meals, nothing to complain about.
Day activities would be snokerling, diving and water sports or you may just laze around. Get some entertainment at Sunset bar or book a karaoke room at night. There is a tour to check out Blue Sand which depart at 9 pm daily.
Blue sand is actually a Bioluminescent Ostracod, shrimp like organism the size of plankton, sometimes known as seed shrimp. As you swiped your hands across the wet sand, it will lit up by flickering blue lights.
Driving from KL takes you about 4 - 4.5 hours to reach Merang Jetty.
