Simple Recipe - Minced Pork with Basil

The holy basil gives you an aromatic smell and is best to cook with chicken or minced pork. We fell in love with this having to tried it at Bangkok. It is a very simple dish yet goes well with rice.

The sauce that I used here depends on quantity of minced pork you gonna cook. So just adjust accordingly. It takes about 10 minutes to cook this dish, quick and yummy.

Ingredients
Minced pork
Minced garlic
Bunch of basil leaves

Method
Marinade minced pork with soy sauce, sesame oil, dash of pepper and  tapioca flour.

Heat up wok
Put in cooking oil
Follow by minced garlic
Add in minced pork
Throw in some oyster sauce, fish sauce and thick soy sauce (if you prefer)
Add in some water
When minced pork is cooked, lastly add basil

Here I did not use dark soy sauce, thus the light color of the dish.

My Backyard Mini Garden

My hubby is really a kampung boy. He loves to rear fish, birds, dogs and gardening. We always have small potted plants growing curry leaves, mint leaves, basil leaves, kaffir lime leaves, kesum/laksa leaves, pandan/screw pine leaves and lemongrass enough for my cooking whenever needed.

Besides we also plant spinach and water morning glory, bittergourd, tomato, spring onion and blue pea flower.

He had beautify the whole area and since been visiting his new baby every morning before he leaves for work. He will water the plants, making sure they are growing well. In addition, he also bought two trees planted in a big nice pot. In the planning, he wanted to plant creepers on top of the area. My oh, my old man! 😅.

Latest addition, a mini pond with intention of rearing various species of gold fish and to put water lily.
