Cheng Beng aka Tomb Sweeping Day

Cheng Beng is in Hokkien or another term QingMing Festival, also known as Tomb Sweeping Day. a tradition observed by Chinese in early April  yearly to honor and remember deceased. ancestors.

Yearly affair, 3 times a year during 10 days before and 10 days after the actual Cheng Beng day. we will go for this prayer.  Usually it falls on April 5th but this year is April 4th.

We have given our availability and paternal cousin brother decided to pray the Cheah ancestor (grandma, Tan Swan Choo and great grandpa, Cheah Teck Soon) on 23 March 2025 at Hokkien HIll , KL Hokkien Cementary located at Jalan Kerayong Bukit Seputeh KL.

Hubby still have few more paternal cousin brothers but as some migrated, some are Christians.  So usually only cousin bro, Choon and his family together with ours will do our part in the yearly prayer.

Besides this, we also set another date to pray Hubby's parents whose urn are placed at Kwong Tong Cementery. This year we will pray on Sunday 30 March 2025 coincides with younger son who is back from Singapore.  Usually hubby's both sisters will be joining the prayers.

As for my mom which will be on 5 April 2025 at Nirwana Semenyih together with my siblings.  However since younger son intended to pray his grandmother, we went on 31 March 2025 as younger son needs to leave for SG on 1 April 2025 9am coach depart from One Utama.   My boys will also pray their great grandmother who was burried there.
